ombudsman

I need help.

I have a car. I have a kid. No, two of them. And thank god, I have a wife and a few hundred bucks. How the hell can I find out the best place to stay given the kid sitch for the wedding.?

Basically, at about 7:30 or so the kids (2 1/2 yrs., 5 months) are done for the night. So where do I stay that is nearby and a place where we can easily get to. where are others who have kids staying? What will you do with your kids at bedtime? babysitters?
thanks ombudsman

I don't know whether to make a separate blog for babysitters or not...I intended this to be for rides. hrrm...

LODGING: If you aren't into camping with a new tot, I suggest you email Carol and Jay about housing. They are looking into group stuff and I gave them a full list of options.

SITTERS: There will be a quiet childproofed room on site. Also, I would contact Gabe and Jen and see if they want to split one. One of my best friends who lives nearby recommended these two sitters: Anna Amodeo (802) 467 - 3685 and Tahira Whitcomb Paulsen (802) 467- 8707. Also on the "lodgings" portion of the cathandstefan website you'll find contact information for the Wildflower Inn, they always have a few babysitters on call as well.

I would highly suggest camping. It's very safe-no rolling off beds, no wandering off-zip 'em in. You can check on them easily and still be a part of the party. When Ruby and Gus were a bit smaller I would put Ruby in a tent right beside ours and have Gus with us for easy breastfeeding access. We would all end up in the big tent by morning, but bring some books and toys and it's an adventure.
